Readiness for this class section may require multiple seasons in Intro/Beginner Pointe levels. This course is for accomplished pointe students ready to engage in the study of classical and contemporary variations. Dancers gain an appreciation of the technical difficulty involved for soloists and the corps with a unique opportunity to express their individual style and artistic ability. Variations of traditional ballets, such as Giselle, Nutcracker, Swan Lake, etc., are taught to prepare the student in the achievement of repertoire necessary for dance companies and universities.
Pointe students are required to take ballet class weekly in order to participate.
