Sarah Hicks
Dance/Acting Instructor, Choregrapher
“Those who can’t do, teach” in no way describes Sarah. With a BA from the top 5 ranking dance program at Point Park University and as proud member of the Actors Equity Association, Sarah has taken her moves to theaters all over North America. Her favorite performances include The Music Man starring Jeff Goldblum, the 2008 Broadway revival of Gypsy, starring Patti LuPone, and BTC’s A Chorus Line where she captivated audiences with her ‘break out’ role as the boy with the headband.
As an improviser, Sarah has learned how much the skills of Yes-And can break down barriers in her students from ages 8 to 80. In addition to teaching improv at BTC, Sarah is on Faculty at Improvolution in New York City, where she also serves as the Director of Corporate Education, working with clients such as Capital One, Yale University, and Parade Magazine.
Sarah’s passion for choreography has lead her to assist Broadway choreographer, Josh Bergasse, on the set of NBC’s musical drama SMASH; to create immersive shows at the Unico Resort in Riviera Maya with her favorite teammates Jason Brantman and Fiona Santos; and to pour her heart and soul into her award winning ensemble shows here at Broadway training Center.
