This ballet class uses various techniques as its base. Proper alignment, natural turnout, correct placement, vocabulary and basic porte de bras and epaulement will be reinforced. The class consists of: Pre Warm-up: parallel stretching, exercising, pointing of feet in preparation of the barre. Barre: Plies, tendus, degage, frappe, rond de jambe par terre et en l’air, battement, stretch, as examples. Center floor: adagio, petite allegro, pirouettes, turns across the floor, waltz, mazurka, polonaise, combinations of center/moving jumps, grande allegro.
