By Invitation only
Readiness for pointe work is determined by each student’s strength and physical development. Placement into pointe technique is based on students having a sufficient amount of ballet training and aptitude in ballet studies. The feet, ankles, turnout, back and abdominal muscles must be strong enough to stand on pointe correctly without the risk of injury to the student. Dance vocabulary, including physical strength and proper placement are necessary for an invitation to be granted. Dancers within the course are evaluated for curriculum level as they develop their strength and abilities.
Pointe students are required to take ballet class weekly in order to participate.
